Program Description: This course is designed to provide English language and literacy instruction for English language learner adults whose first language is other than English and who are non-literate or semi-literate in their home language, in order to increase their ability to communicate in English.

Program Description: This course is designed to provide English language instruction to adult learners who are able to read and write in at least one language other than English. The instructional focus is to prepare adult learners to use English for entering the career and technical and/or postsecondary education, employment, and participation in the civic life in the United States. The curriculum covers course standards in the areas of Communication, Civics, Family, and Community Resource, Employment, Consumer Education, Health and Nutrition, Transportation and Travel, Safety and Security.
