Scheduling Guidelines

For step-by-step instructions and walkthroughs of the registration and scheduling process, please visit our tutorial page.

  1. There will be a 10-minute break between each content area
  2. You must reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment time in order to not lose your money
  3. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice or do not show up, you will not receive a refund
  4. If you schedule all five content areas within one appointment, you will not receive a lunch break
  5. To schedule a lunch break, create separate appointments within the same day (see examples below)
  6. If scheduling five content areas in a single day, the test center must have open hours to accommodate the appointment

Admission Policy

We ask that you arrive at the test center 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will give you adequate time to complete the necessary sign-in procedures. Please be prepared to show one form of valid Identification. The ID must be a current government issued (State ID, Passport, Drivers license, etc not-expired) and include your name, address, date of birth, signature, and photograph. Test-takers can provide more than one form of identification to meet these requirements. If you do not have a valid ID you will be turned away and will forfeit your exam and delivery fees.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment and are refused admission, payments are due for the exam and delivery fees.

No personal items may be taken into the testing room. This includes all bags, books not authorized by the sponsor, notes, phones, pagers, watches and wallets.

Your GED® credential will be mailed to the address that you entered in during registration. Please verify your address is correct to avoid your GED® credential being sent to the incorrect address.

Please log onto your account at GED Testing Service with your username and password to verify your address.

Have you checked your jurisdiction’s language policy yet? Remember, it’s important to make sure your jurisdiction offers the GED® test in the language of your choice. The rules are different in every jurisdiction and confirming your jurisdiction will accept your GED® test language version will save you time and money. If your jurisdiction doesn’t accept your GED® test language, you can reschedule your exam for free. Check your jurisdiction’s language policy. You don’t need to verify this information if you’re testing in English.
